Level II (Level 2)  Non Commissioned Security, or Unarmed Security, is the introductory 6-hour class that covers the basics of becoming a Non Commissioned or Unarmed Security Guard in Texas. This security training course provides the Level 2 training as required by the State of Texas. Once complete, you will be provided with your certificate of completion, which is to be submitted and approved by the State (Texas Private Security Bureau has it's own guidelines/regulations/fees).  Once approved by the State, you will be able to work legally as a Non Commissioned/Unarmed security officer in the State of Texas. Please note that you must first complete this security class before moving forward with Level 3 training. 

This is an interactive and engaging class, where the instructor will provide you with real life work experiences for the different areas of the training manual.

Qualifications:
If you are interested in applying for this class, you should verify that your criminal background is free of convictions that are felonies, convictions that are Class A and Class B Misdemeanors in the last five years.

What To Do After You Receive Your Certificate of Completion? 
After you receive your certificate of completion for having completed the Level 2 Security Training, you have 90 days to register with the State of Texas Private Security Bureau.  Your employer can register you, or you may find a security guard company to sponsor you. Either way, it is your responsibility to pay your own fees. $33 Texas DPS fee, $25 FBI Fingerprint fee, $11 L1 Fingerprint service. State will take 4-6 weeks to approve your application.
